2、
Deck-building CCG Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer has a new expansion, out now on iOS and Android.

It's called Dawn of Champions, and involves taking on the role, funnily enough, of a Champion aligned with one of four factions. These Champions grant you powers, supposedly switching up the progression of in-game battles.

The expansion also includes a new Rally mechanic which, helpfully, is not explained any further than that by publisher Playdek.

Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer is a card-based battler released for iOS back in 2011. It was later released on Android, and is also coming to PS Vita, though "2015" is still the closest thing to a release date we've got for the PlayStation version.

We reviewed the iOS version upon its release a few years ago. Will called it "a clever and tactical game that just lacks the extra features to truly ascend to the top of the deck", handing it a Bronze Award.

You can grab Ascension on the App Store and Google Play now. The new expansion, Dawn of Champions, costs £2.99 / $3.99.
Extraordinary Road&#;

3、
After Google Play announced its top games of 2017 on Monday this earlier week, it was only a matter of time before Apple followed suit with its own list.

Between iPad and iPhone, paid and free games, there's certainly a big ol' list to read through with some seriously good games on it. Bear in mind that some decisions vary by area, so the best iPhone/iPad games and Top Charts below are those picked in the UK.
iPad Game of the Year
As announced in the App Store's story this morning, the monochromatic hidden object puzzler Hidden Folks took the top spot for the 2017 iPad Game of the Year, and for good reason. We thought it was an excellent hidden puzzler when we played it, saying it was 'a puzzler perfect for those with an eye and ear for detail' in its review.
iPhone Game of the Year
The iPhone Game of 2017 is, again, a worthy winner as Splitter Critters takes the crown. We gave it a Silver Award in its review, and if you haven't been fortunate enough to play this innovative little beauty yet and love a good puzzler, I'd hop on it the next chance you can. Splitter Critters was a game that we first encountered at one of our Big Indie Pitch events. Our judges gave it second place out of 18 games that were pitched live in Vancouver, proving that we do know how to pick 'em.

Of course, we can't end the year without taking a look at Apple's charts of its top Free/Paid games, so without further ado:
Top FreeSuper Mario RunWord CookiesROBLOXRolling SkyPaper.ioRoll the Ball Piano Tiles 28 Ball Poolslither.ioSnake VS BlockBlock! 4、
As we are want to do, we hosted yet another of our Big Indie Pitches out at GDC last week, and boy, it was a good 'un.

There was a bunch of great games covering just about every genre you can think of, each one bringing its own unique twist to the world of mobile.

But there can be only one winner, and it was a great pleasure to hand that award to Triband's madcap golf game What The Golf?
&#;
